AH Connects started as a side business for Adele when she was going to college at University of North Texas. While studying business and working as a bookkeeper for a local produce company,
she found that computers can naturally to her, and that she was often asked to help other people with their computer questions and problems.
After college, and working with mainframe systems in the trucking industry, Adele went on to work for Chuck E. Cheese corporate offices in Irving, Texas as an accounting assistant. During the time in accounting, more and more requests were made for Adele’s help in regards to computers, spreadsheets, and training. Adele found herself in a interesting place between accounting and computers, which helped her understand the needs of the end-user, as well as the nerdy aspects of the IT end of things. At that time, User-Friendly Computing was born! The name was later changed to AH Connects.
Adele moved from the world of mainframe computers to see the birth of the desktop computer revolution, and the demise of the power house computers of old.
